Your Computer Needs a Doctor

Your computer needs a doctor. Sometimes life has unexpected events that happen, definitely not talking about “Murphy’s Law”. A pain in your side for no reason, funny how a hiccup comes out of nowhere, health problems can be tricky.  Just think about it, how many times have you been sick in one year? The nasty cold, hard to get rid of flu, mild stroke, severe heart attack, yes life can suddenly turn you upside down. You make a decision not to go to the doctor for preventive maintenance and your computer doesn’t get any treatment either.

Your family doctor made sure that you know the most common indications that you are ill with something. Your neighbor computer doctor does the same thing. Your desktop looks like a garbage dump. Cleanup to save space and get organized.  Your computer needs to get into shape, maybe a tune-up. This is advice from your Computer Doctor, listen up.

Doesn’t it just drive you crazy when your computer is slow? You sit there waiting, waiting, and tapping your fingers waiting for everything to load. No need to panic, because most of the reasons your computer is running so slow can be fixed without having to take your computer to the hospital.

Here is a list of some of the things that can be slowing up your pc or laptop:

You could have a computer virus. The simplest way to deal with this is to have a good anti-virus/anti-spyware program installed and schedule scans based on the usage.

Every program you install wants to start and is ready to run at a moment’s notice. You may have too many programs set to open at start up. Some applications will be necessary but others are not and each take up some of the CPU’s processing time and this in turn slows your computer.

Too many programs installed on your computer that you don’t use could take up space. Programs are very large files and folders that take up a lot of space on your hard drive. Uninstall games and applications you no longer need.

Your computer could have an error due to hardware or software install incorrectly. Have your computer do a self-check and see if it can resolve any and all issues.

Check for fragmented files. When files are fragmented on your hard drive, it takes more time for your system to locate the files it needs to perform your requests. Having a maid in your computer to keep it organized is awesome. To keep your computer smiling you should routinely clean your computer disc and perform a defragmentation process as needed.

Making your computer smile is the key to having it when you need it. Computer Doctors are a dime a dozen and the cost can vary. Find yourself a doctor who enjoys what they do and you are all set when you need advice. A recommendation from friends and family is the easiest way to find a doctor with a positive reputation.
